A Quest for the Perfect Pores

They seem large and impervious yet they are small and sensitive. It is our biggest skin care concern and yet for many of us, the quest for the perfect skin begin with the perfect pores. Yes, I am talking about Pores. Here's a three-step program to deliver the fail-proof ideal pores you are searching for.

Step 1

The first step is to minimize your pores. Although we wish we could eradicate them entirely, pores do serve a purpose. They allow oil to flow efficiently allowing your skin to hydrate and keep soft.

Step 2

The good news is that clogged pores are not permanently enlarged. They just appear larger due to the dead skin cells and the surface oil that collect around each pore. The best way to minimize your pores is to keem them clean with a daily routine especially in the evening. Start cleaning your face with a facial cleanser that is appropriate to you skin condition. After cleansing, daily use of non abrasive exfoliant such as the Ultrasonic Skin Scrubber, the Clarisonic Brush or chemical exfoliants such as AHAs or salicylic acid will banish many of the irritants that clog pores. Keep fingers away from your face since the hands harbour bacteria, dirt and oil that can clog pores and cause acne.

Step 3

You may not need a skin care expert on a daily basis, but every four to six weeks, your skin could sure use one. The benefits of getting a facial at the hands of experienced esthetician include customized facial and the arch nemesis of clogged pores-facial extractions of blackheads. Another reason to visit us at 818 Skincare, is the other skin-saving treatment known as Microdermabrasion. The Microdermabrasion treatment involves the stimulation of collagen networking to even the skin texture, appearance, and removing the top layer of dead skin cells. Follow these three steps and your perfect pores can finally be yours.

On the road to the perfect pores, you must avoid certain ingredients that are pore clogging. Check out our next blog articles for the  ingredients to avoid.
